Video files belonging to a man who went missing in the Mojave Desert tell a confounding story of love, doom, and the unknowable. The Prologue, “Card Zero”, captures Robbie Zagorac navigating a new relationship while filming his video diary . “The Outwaters” presents memory cards found years later in a desert canyon and tells the story of the Zagorac brothers and their friends as they vanish amid descending chaos and terror. “File VL-624” consists of recently restored data from all four memory cards and casts new light (and new darkness) on all that was previously known.
