Paul Kerjean, journaliste, reçoit un jour un coup de téléphone anonyme. Son interlocuteur accuse Jacques Benoît-Lambert, un industriel, d'avoir reçu un pot-de-vin, pour céder à l'étranger une usine française. L'enquête de Kerjean confirme cette accusation.
